Four siblings go up against an expert thief who isn't afraid to get a little blood on his hands to get what he wants. The kids don't quite know what they're doing and can never get along even in the simplest situations, so they might not have what it takes to defeat such a villain.

At Phoenix Hall, even the heroes are villains. In my world, there are three kinds of people. Heroes. Villains. Plebs. Heroes save the world. Villains try to take over the world. Plebs just try to get through Chemistry without losing their eyebrows. Our school is ruled over by opposing sides; hero and villain. Their Lords are vicious, cruel, and not concerned about using their powers for the good of anyone. Around Phoenix Hall, hero is just another four-letter word. I'm Ruby Raddish, pleb. It had been months since the last time I had lost control. I wouldn't lose control. I wouldn't. I just needed to focus and ignore the idiot who had been babbling the entire time I had been thinking. My fists clenched and opened repeatedly, as I blew out a breath. He stopped walking and formally bowed- freaking bowed- to me like a proper orderly and spoke in some posh accent, "The name's Kid Flash, my lady. And whom may I have the absolute pleasure of accompanying this evening?" I looked at him oddly, still clenching my fists, and wondering how much medication he had missed this morning.
