At Phoenix Hall, even the heroes are villains. In my world, there are three kinds of people. Heroes. Villains. Plebs. Heroes save the world. Villains try to take over the world. Plebs just try to get through Chemistry without losing their eyebrows. Our school is ruled over by opposing sides; hero and villain. Their Lords are vicious, cruel, and not concerned about using their powers for the good of anyone. Around Phoenix Hall, hero is just another four-letter word. I'm Ruby Raddish, pleb. The lowest of the low. The utterly powerless child of two of our most famous heroes. Or I was. Until I accidentally blow up Lord Hero himself, after one too many bad jokes at my expense. Now the target on my back has just tripled. Plebs are wary of my change in fortune. Heroes think I'll turn villain for attacking one of their own. Villains think I'm trying to be a hero spy. No matter which way I turn, I can't win. My new powers unearth old secrets and soon it's not just my life in danger. Lord Hero wants my head between his legs. Lord Villain wants his between mine. I just want to graduate and disappear into the normalcy of a human life. Described as 'Sky High' meets 'the Boys', this New Adult superhero boarding school bully romance is not for the faint of heart. The main character has two love interests, who each have their own extra love interest, and things gets sexual between them all. However, there are no menage/group scenes, and this is not a reverse harem story.

Being 16 sucks. Being 16 and running away after you burn down a library with flames you shoot from your hands, trying to carve out a place in the world for yourself while understanding this strange curse double sucks. Getting interrupted from figuring out magic completely on your own by an evil witch with plans to take over the world by doing *extremely* gross things to dead bodies triple sucks. Add in a pet mouse, a hot boy who shows up halfway through and amounts of emotional suppression never before known to mankind and you get a rough approximation of Max's life.
